In-Browser Touch Interface Game
Finger Forest is an in-browser game created for Google for the launch event at Google I/O 2012 of their Chrome Mobile Experiments Lab. It explores multi-touch mechanics in a touch interface. Users attempt to guide up to 3 different animals to their respective goals without lifting a finger, finding themselves in a small game of “finger-twister”. Finger Forest is built with 3-layered HTML5 Canvas elements which it uses to draw both images for the sprites and bezier curve paths tracking the user’s fingers. It uses touch events and multi-touch tracking to allow multiple touches to be tracked at once.
